The presentedmapispart ofthe groundwaterquality maps developed designed for the "Hydrogeological documentation of the setting the available resources of underground waters of the catchment of the Wkra river together with the direct Vistula catchment."
The maps hows the groundwater quality according to the hydrogeological map of Poland in 1: 50 000 scale, unifying classification due to changes in legal regulations and methodology during the map making. The assessment of groundwater quality in the catchment area of the Wkra river was also conducted, taking into account the current regulation by the Minister of Environment of 23 July 2008 on the criteria and method of evaluation of underground waters.

Szeszupy Catchment – Realization of "the project of geological work to determine the available resources of underground waters of the catchment ofSzeszupa, Black Hańcza and Marycha rivers within the borders of the state."
Realization of "the project of geological work to determine the available resources of underground waters of the catchment ofSzeszupa, Czarna Hańcza and Marycha rivers within the borders of the state." was completed in June 2010. The preparation of the works required paying special attention to the transboundary nature of the catchment, both in terms of hydro-geological and formal matters (legal regulations). The challenge in the process of designing the research setting available groundwater resources in this region was also an extremely complex geological structure, which in some places resulted in "cassette" type of hydro-structural construction.

Medicinal Waters of Rabka Zdrój
31.08.2009
Preparation of the hydrogeological documentation establishing the disposable resources of medicinal waters in Rabka Zdroj.
Preparation of the hydrogeological documentation establishing the disposable resources of medicinal waters in Rabka Zdroj.
Implementation of a project called "Hydrogeological documentation establishing the disposable resources of medicinal waters in Rabka Zdrój"
The documentation refers to the origin of medicinal water called "brine" in Rabka-Zdroj, the area and volume of their disposable resources. A test exploitation of the borehole IG-2, inactive since opening in 1981, was also carried out, which provides the medicinal waters from a depth of 1215 m.
- Medicinal waterof Rabka Zdroj is a mixture of non-infiltrated saline waters with modern infiltrated waters. One way of determining the origin of water is studying its isotopic composition. The saline waters from the Carpathians are characterized by stable isotopes of oxygen and hydrogen. The dependence of the isotope D2H from the content of Cl is shown in the chart.
- In all thebore holes in Rabka-Zdroj the methane inflows are observed, which increase with depth. The brine is lifted by methane. The variability of the brine in terms of efficiency and pressure is mainly due to a very uneven flow of gas, particularly in terms of volume of gas escaping in the same unit of time. The supervision of a two-month research exploitation of Rabka exploiting the salted water borehole IG-2 of a depth of 1215 m included brine and methane pressure measurements in the borehole by using the reducer of various diameters limiting brine self-outflow.
- In order to determinethe area of medicinal water prevalence, the atmogeochemical tests were carried out - measurements of subsoil gas composition in 490 points. The map shows the distribution of methane CH4 content in the subsoil air.
